Stroke Forward

My stroke took me by surprise. I thought I was too young, too fit. Had we known BE FAST, the acronym that tells you the symptoms that stroke victims have, maybe I would have gotten to the hospital sooner.

  • B – Balance
  • E – Eyes or vision
  • F – Face drooping
  • A – Arm or leg weakness
  • S – Speech difficulty
  • T – Time to call 911

If you see anyone experiencing these problems, please get help right away. You could improve their ability to get their life back… or even save it.

Thank you to the American Stroke Association for coming up the the FAST acromym. Thank you also to ProMedica Health. Both sites have plenty of information if you want to know more.
