The Cardiovascular Group, P.C. Fairfax, VA
Led the largest cardiovascular practice in Northern Virginia in collaboration with the Director of Finance and Chief Medical Officer in absence of CEO for more than a year. Kept revenue in line despite declining reimbursements and staffing levels of half of our competitors.
Transformed recruiting/retention practices by establishing new job descriptions, interviewing techniques, and performance metrics; reduced turnover to less that industry average.
Established task forces to engage employees throughout the practice to make and implement recommendations for operational improvements. Employee satisfaction ratings rose dramatically; management rose to 4.5/5.

National Industries for the Blind, Alexandria, VA
Led product development contracting, and pricing departments; modernized board policies and operating procedures to create 648 jobs in 2005, up from 367 in 2004 and 245 in 2003.
Led development and delivery of first large-scale project valued at $15 million and comprised of 240,000 units manufactured by 7 facilities. Replicated process for follow-on projects.
Instituted a business planning methodology to align corporate, divisional, departmental, and personal performance objectives and propelled revenue growth 15.5% in 2003 and 2004.

Co-founder of peer-to-peer knowledge management software, 2000 — 2001

Planned and managed marketing, website development and launch, and accounts receivable. Prepared for acquisition in 2001 by Optiview Technologies.

Authored business plan. Positioned company at convergence of computer, wireless, device, and Internet industries. Prompted term sheet from Morgan Stanley of $15 million.
